5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Title Diesel Service Mechanic Job Description EJ Equipment Inc. is looking for a skilled and experienced Diesel Service Mechanic to join our team in Shakopee, MN. This full-time, hourly position involves providing high-quality service and maintenance to a variety of diesel equipment and vehicles, including trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other heavy machinery. As an individual contributor, you will report directly to the Service Manager. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Complete necessary repairs and replacements on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. Conduct thorough inspections of diesel equipment and vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns. Maintain accurate and detailed service records and reports. Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing updates on repair progress and recommendations for preventative maintenance. Follow all safety procedures and protocols in the shop and on job sites. Stay current with industry advancements and changes in diesel technology. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment. Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license. Experience in the auto industry is preferred. Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
