Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Shifts: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM

Location: Halifax, VA

Position Requirements

• Valid RN License in Virginia
• At least 2 years of recent nursing experience within the last 4 years in one or more of the following areas:
  • ICU
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• ACLS Certification (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within the last 12 months)
• COVID-19 Vaccination or an Approved Medical/Religious Exemption
• Additional credentials may be necessary based on specialty and facility assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and high-quality patient care in acute care hospital environments.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and their responses to treatments.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment as required by unit assignment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Exhibit flexibility and professionalism while adapting to various hospital settings.
