Physical Therapist PositionInova Physical Therapy at our Springfield/Franconia location is looking for a full time Physical Therapist to join our outstanding team. This position is full time, Monday - Friday, two late evenings a week until 7:00pm. We offer a 1 x 1 patient service model and a lot of mentorship. We have a close, team oriented culture and are looking for someone who thrives in that type of environment.We are located at 6355 Walker Lane, Alexandria, Va. 22310.Here's where you'll work!Featured Benefits:Committed to Team Member Health: offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.Retirement: Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.Tuition and Student Loan Assistance: offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.Mental Health Support: offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities:Documents the results of evaluations clearly and completely by including all essential elements according to department policy.Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment, actual performance, and an assessment as to status relevant to the treatment plan in addition to eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if needed.Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.Documents clearly, concisely and legibly within established timeframes (e.g. allows other therapists to continue treatment, allows for interpretation by payers, supports reimbursements).Documents evidence of patient and family/caregiver education.Contacts families, physicians or other healthcare team members in anticipation of special needs of the patients or families in a timely manner to facilitate effective treatment plans.Provides educational materials and methods appropriate to the patient's level of understanding and motivation and includes families/caregivers in education and training.Physical Therapist Additional Requirements:Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start (Thru the American Heart Association)Licensure - Va. Physical Therapist Upon StartExperience - Not required. 1 year in outpatient preferredEducation - Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, Masters preferred
