Registered Nurse Clinical Manager, CICU

Job Overview Registered Nurse Clinical Manager position in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The Clinical Manager will have 30-40 direct reports and will lead unit‑based and organization‑wide projects focused on improving patient outcomes. Expected to be self‑directed, growth‑oriented, and invest in the success of others. Requires a 2‑month orientation with the CICU Clinical Director and CICU team. Job Responsibilities Provide programmatic leadership of the clinical component in assigned areas, ensuring quality patient care outcomes. Collaborate with the Clinical Director to develop and implement goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures, and practices aligned with the strategic plan. Monitor situations that affect daily operations and take appropriate actions, including coaching, evaluation, and mentoring of staff. Establish workforce communication that reflects Core Values and cultural competence, ensuring appropriate training and practice oversight. Integrate the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) in all aspects of practice, shared governance, and shared decision‑making. Maintain knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements, conduct audits, and develop corrective action plans. Serve as point of contact for daily operations, resolve issues, and provide staff guidance and patient staffing oversight. Lead project management activities, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic plans, and communicate progress and plans to stakeholders. Engage in financial analysis and budgeting, including annual operating and capital budgets, monitoring financial performance and variance analysis. Job Qualifications BSN required; MSN preferred. 3+ years of nursing work experience. Active RN license in Ohio. Experience in critical care preferred. No prior manager experience required. Schedule & Work Hours Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Evening/Night shifts: 10‑hour shifts (2‑3 nights from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am or until work is done), plus 1‑2 days for flexible office hours. Must work every 5th weekend on call to provide 24/7 patient coverage per CICU team. Location Burnet Campus. Compensation Annualized pay may vary based on FTE status: $100,526.40–$130,686.40.
