UK-Based Data Engineer for AI Model Training

Role Overview

Apply your production data engineering judgement to create professional documents and deliverables that help train and evaluate frontier AI models. You will collaborate with experts from two other domains, with your work used to develop model tasks and evaluation rubrics.

Key Responsibilities

Create field-relevant professional documents and deliverables based on day-to-day data engineering work.
Work alongside experts from two additional domains.
Document and structure hands-on data engineering work where required.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience building and owning production data pipelines.
Background as a Data Engineer, Senior Data Engineer, Staff Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or Data Architect.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Experience with ETL and ELT, orchestration, streaming, and data warehousing.
Experience with technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks, on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Work Terms

Hourly engagement, remote within the United Kingdom.
40 hours per week from 14 September to 10 October 2026.
Collaboration follows UK business hours.
You must not have other commitments requiring significant hours during this period. Smaller side projects may be discussed.

Compensation

£140 to £200 per hour.

Eligibility

You must be based in the United Kingdom and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
