Must be open to floating to any MS/Tele, ER Holding or possibly PCU/Stepdown depending on skills and need. Weekend requirement: 6 weekend nights per 6-week schedule and holiday as needed. Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated.Description: This position requires a committed and skilled professional. The nurse will be responsible for providing quality care to adult and geriatric patients. Patient diagnoses may include COPD, diabetes, and multiple medical conditions. Care may also involve orthopedic, general, gynecological surgical patients, as well as palliative and hospice patients. Responsibilities include managing telemetry, administering medications, and performing routine assessments. Skills should include accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and monitoring telemetry. Floating to different departments will be required based on staffing needs. The nurse will work closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:7. All qualifications must be in place before the position starts. Candidates must ensure that their licenses and certifications do not expire within 45 days of the start date.
