Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU More About Our Team Our Perioperative Services Department provides the majority of surgical care for Cochise County, supporting a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, podiatry, spine, vascular, and endoscopy. This dynamic environment offers meaningful work, strong teamwork, and ongoing opportunities for learning and professional growth. The schedule is Monday‑through‑Friday with four 10‑hour shifts; some call coverage is required for after‑hours and urgent patient needs. How You'll Contribute Perform duties as assigned and requested. Complete focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient condition, procedures, medications, and treatments. Assess and manage pain using appropriate pain‑management techniques. Provide patient care and communicate effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs. Demonstrate knowledge of medications and ensure correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors. Assist physicians with procedures and provide services requiring technical and manual skills. Perform treatments and deliver care within licensure scope. Ensure patient safety by performing all aspects of care in a safety‑focused environment. Operate and manage equipment safely and correctly. Educate patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintain reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Serve patient populations ranging from neonates to older adults. What We're Looking For Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred. Active Arizona or Compact RN License. BLS certification required. ACLS, PALS certifications required within 1 year of hire. One year of experience preferred.
