The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, inspect, and log incoming raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare and package outgoing products according to specifications and shipping labels.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain organized inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Verify accuracy of shipments against purchase orders or sales orders.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and perform daily inspections.
• Collaborate with production and quality control to ensure timely material flow.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and transaction processing
• Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, with current certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records and shipping documentation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management.
• Forklift certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
• Proficient in using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
• Experience operating overhead cranes or other material handling equipment.
