Mammography Technologist | PRN

Position Overview Provide healthcare services, applying x‑ray energy procedures to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. Perform medical imaging techniques for mammography or x‑ray patients and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Produce and evaluate screening and diagnostic general x‑ray and mammography images as ordered by the referring physician. Responsibilities Perform mammography, mammography/x‑ray, or mammography/x‑ray/fluoroscopy procedures as assigned. Demonstrate competency and proficiency following established protocols, including: Mammograms and equipment in the assigned work area (may include DEXA scans). Proper positioning of patient and equipment. Selection of appropriate image receptor and techniques. Use of Digital Information Systems, such as RIS and PACS, in the performance of assigned work. Identify each patient and review each requisition for consistency with the examination ordered. Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the radiologic procedure. Review patient chart for exam referral/orders, noting any special instructions within exam notes, appointment notes, or referral request. Qualifications Certification or license as a Mammography or X‑ray Technologist. Proficiency in mammography and related imaging modalities. Experience with fluoroscopy procedures, if performing Mammo/X‑ray/Fluoro examinations. Ability to use RIS and PACS systems effectively. Excellent patient communication and care skills. Compensation & Total Rewards The hourly range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00. Final compensation is determined based on education, experience, certifications, and geographic factors.
