Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
This position, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs various types of therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system, responds to arrest and emergency situations, and provides CPR and life support systems.
Responsibilities
- Performs Respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol evaluations.
- Delivers medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
- Responds to all Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations immediately, maintaining artificial airways, and respiration and cardiac compressions.
- Sets up and maintains all oxygen according to protocol.
Schedule
This position operates on a night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of RRT experience (required).
- Previous travel work experience (preferred).
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required).
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (required).
- Active American Heart Association PALS certification (required).
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required).
- Active RRT certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) (required).
- Must have an active Michigan/MI license (required).
