Hospitalist Physician – Greater Los Angeles Area

HealthYes Staffing Network is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hospitalist Physician to join an established private hospitalist group in the Greater Los Angeles area.

This permanent position offers a flexible daytime model that allows the physician to complete onsite rounds and then manage the remainder of the coverage period remotely while remaining available by phone. The typical daily census is 16–20 patients, with additional compensation when the census exceeds 20.

Newly trained and experienced Hospitalists are encouraged to apply.

Position Highlights

• Permanent W-2 position
• Daytime schedule from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Complete onsite rounds, then manage remaining coverage remotely
• Typical daily census of 16–20 patients
• Additional compensation when the census exceeds 20
• Intensivists manage the ICU
• No procedures required
• Limited weekend rotation of approximately one to two weekends per month

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients
• Round on an average daily census of approximately 16–20 patients
• Evaluate admissions and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Coordinate discharges, follow-up care, and transitions of care
• Remain available by phone during assigned coverage hours
• Collaborate with Intensivists, specialists, nurses, case managers, and other clinical professionals
• Participate in a limited weekend coverage rotation
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support hospital quality and patient-safety initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Internal Medicine training strongly preferred
• Board certified or board eligible
• Active California medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong inpatient clinical judgment and communication skills
• Comfortable working within a flexible onsite and remote coverage model
• New graduates and experienced Hospitalists are welcome

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary of $250,000 - $270,000
• Additional compensation for a daily census exceeding 20 patients
• W-2 employment
