The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field. The purpose of this position is to provide technical responsibility for organizing, executing and coordinating complex Process Technology project assignments and may oversee a team of several engineers.May lead a team of several engineers to develop drawings and specifications for study, feasibility, Front End Engineering Development (FEED)/Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) phase project definition and/or executionDevelop Process Technology Quality Plans for small to moderate size projectsDevelop and oversee Process Activity Plans for moderate to intermediate size projectsExecute Fluor’s scope of work according to contract requirementsInterface with client representatives: project, planning, process and instrument engineers, operations and maintenance to align contract requirements and expectationsInterface with Fluor discipline engineers to develop interdisciplinary drawings and specificationsProvide support to Fluor project team members to enhance Fluor’s understanding of client technology and businessTrain team members in technology specific skillsExecute studies as required and/or needed to provide cost effective facilitiesTrain team members in client business objectives, project development process & methods, critical financial parameters, and technologiesDevelop schedule logic and effort-hours budgetsAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlinesBasic Job Requirements• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and fourteen (14) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerOther Job RequirementsMust be US citizen or permanent resident.Minimum three (3) years on Nuclear Power projects as Lead Engineer for EPC company, or as Client RepresentativeExperience in designing and analyzing Nuclear Island support systems within Reactor Building and/or Radioactive Waste building.Familiarity with ASME Section III designUnderstanding of ASME NQA-1 standards for nuclear quality assurance and ability to implement and maintain quality assurance programs in compliance with ASME NQA-1 requirements.Familiarity with NRC regulatory requirements and standards.Knowledge of radiation protection principles.Experience in the design of liquid, gaseous, and solid radioactive waste processing systems in compliance with NRC regulationsExperience in the design of liquid radioactive waste drainage systems in compliance with NRC regulationsExperience in applying NUREG-0800 to design activitiesExperience in applying NRC Regulatory Guides to design activitiesExperience in applying 10 CFR 20 and 10 CFR 50 to design activitiesProfessional Engineer Licensed in Texas (or ability to obtain license if already registered in another state)Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer Licensed in Texas (or ability to obtain license if already registered in another state)We are an equal opportunity employer.
