Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Four 10-hour shifts, 0700–1730 (early start at 0630 may be required based on case needs)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in an active 9-suite OR environment handling 10–30 cases per day across General, GYN, Ortho, Urology, ECT, pain blocks, and ENT, with exposure to vascular, neuro, and head and neck cases
• Utilize Cerner EMR for all documentation and patient care activities
• Participate in on-call rotation: 6 call days per 4-week schedule period, including weeknight call (1730–0700) and weekend call (0700–0700); holiday call may apply if holidays fall within the contract period
• Respond to call within 30 minutes
• Assist with scrubbing responsibilities when covering call, as needed
• Support PACU by sitting with patients during recovery when circulating duties allow

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for the state of Iowa
• BLS certification required
• Hands-on experience with General, GYN, Ortho, Urology, ECT, pain blocks, and ENT cases
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations including weeknight, weekend, and potential holiday call

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with vascular, neuro, or head and neck surgical cases
• Comfort with both circulating and scrubbing roles in the OR
• Ability to adapt to a schedule determined by department needs without self-scheduling
