Department: Jackson North Medical Center - General Surgeon Address: 1801 NE 123 Street Miami FL 33181 Shift details: Full-Time, Clinic Mon-Fri, plus call As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers, seeks to hire a General Surgeon to support our growth at Jackson North Medical Center. We provide care and support to patients and families at every step of the journey, from routine care to complex surgeries and follow up care. We offer cutting edge care and provide a supportive team environment for our physicians ensuring the best care to our patients. Responsibilities Provide and maintain JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS outpatients. Practice average volume 1-2x weekly in office plus call (minimum 7 days per month). Surgery 3x weekly. Provide general surgery patients services. Opportunity to build your practice. Education Doctorate degree in Medicine is required. Experience Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience. License and Certification Valid Florida Medical License. DEA and board certification or eligible in General Surgery are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
