Senior Audit ManagerA PCAOB-registered, full-service public accounting firm in Westborough, MA is looking for a Senior Audit Manager who is ready to lead a complex audit portfolio, shape firm methodology, and walk a clear path toward Partnership - all within a collaborative New England practice that punches well above its size.What you'll doDirect multiple concurrent, complex audit engagements from planning through issuance, maintaining quality, risk management, and engagement profitability across a diverse client portfolioServe as the firm's primary technical authority on U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and emerging financial reporting issues, resolving issues escalated by managers and seniorsOwn executive-level client relationships - present material findings and strategic recommendations directly to Boards of Directors and Audit Committees of key accountsDesign and continuously refine audit methodologies, quality control procedures, and firm-wide policies in partnership with the principal groupMentor and develop audit managers, seniors, and staff through structured coaching, training program design, and active involvement in recruitingDrive practice development by cultivating referral networks, representing the firm at industry events, and converting new service opportunities into engagementsWhat you needActive CPA license (any state; Massachusetts licensure or reciprocity required)8-10+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting, with meaningful time at a managerial levelExpert command of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and complex multi-industry financial reportingDemonstrated track record leading multiple engagement teams simultaneously and delivering on quality and deadline commitmentsProven business development and client relationship management experience - you have brought in or grown client relationships beforeNice to haveBig 4 or large regional firm background at Manager or Senior Manager levelMaster's degree in Accounting or MBAProficiency with ProSystem fx (CCH) Engagement or comparable audit management softwareEstablished expertise and client base in Non-Profit (NFP), Employee Benefit Plans (EBP), Governmental, or specific commercial industry sectorsPay & benefitsBase salary: $140,000 - $190,000+ depending on experienceDiscretionary performance bonusesAccelerated, direct path to Partnership for high performersLocation & scheduleHome office: Westborough, MAHybrid flexibility available for candidates based within the New England regionFull-time
