Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Full Time School Based

Speech-Language Pathologist - School-Based Services nvo Healthcare is the nation’s leading provider of behavior, mental health and therapy services in schools, centers, and communities. We’re seeking talented, full‑time Speech-Language Pathologists to join our school‑based services team in the Fernandina Beach, FL area. Professional License Requirements Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered. ASHA recognized Masters or Doctorate degree from CAA approved program Active SLP license, authored in the state you’re applying to Responsibilities What to expect from this role: Implementing SLP therapy treatment for school‑aged children with cognitive communication disorders, speech and/or language impairments or delays Serving as a member of the IEP Team for students with speech and/or language concerns Maintain appropriate records through Invo’s proprietary software Coordinate with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible students Ensuring all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms. Free movement throughout school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and therapy spaces. Involves bending, kneeling, crouching, and assisting students at their physical level. Might lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist students with mobility or transfers. Vision and hearing abilities must be sufficient to observe student behavior, read printed materials and digital screens, and communicate effectively. Maintain visual and auditory attention for student safety and engagement throughout the school day. Work performed in a school environment with moderate noise, frequent movement between classrooms or buildings. May be exposed to body fluids or communicable diseases while performing duties and must follow safety protocols.
