Child Care Assistant Teacher

About This Role

Lily Pad Learning Center is looking for an individual who loves working with children!

We are seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Assistant Child Care Teacher to join our team. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

As an Assistant Child Care Teacher, you will help foster a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for young children. Working closely with the Lead Teacher and Director, you will assist in classroom management, daily caregiving routines, and implementation of early childhood education activities.

What You'll Do

Help create and maintain a caring and safe classroom environment
Assist with implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Maintain positive and professional relationships with children, families, and coworkers
Observe and document children’s interests and progress and communicate information with staff and families
Assist with classroom organization, supervision, and daily routines
Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide high-quality care and education
Assist in the implementation of curriculum activities and encourage participation by children.
Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.

Requirements

Must be willing to complete and pass a background check and be fingerprinted prior to being hired.
Must enjoy working with young children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Dependable and reliable attendance
Previous childcare experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (can be completed after start of employment).
