These are part-time, temporary positions with a stipend.Varsity Long Jump, High Jump, and Triple Jump Assistant Coach (Winter/Spring)(full-time $4,102 or part-time $2,051 per season). Georgetown Day School is seeking someone to coach full-time (up to 20 hours/week) or part-time (up to 10 hours/week) as a long jump, high jump, and triple jump coach for both the winter and spring track seasons in the 2026-27 school year. Applicants should have experience competing in the event(s) and ideally coaching and/or teaching experience. This position may also involve supporting the sprint coaches at some practices. Availability at least two afternoons per week between 3:45 and 6:30 p.m. as well as on some Saturdays is expected. Applicants could potentially be considered for future fall employment as an assistant cross country coach, as well, if seeking three-season employment. Applicants should be ready to provide a resume and to speak with the head track/cross country coach. Additional Duties And Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Coaching Skills/Requirements Candidates should have coaching experience and preferably playing experience at the high school and/or college level. The coach will report to the High School Athletic Director and/or Middle School Athletic Director, depending upon the sport and the level of the team. Coaches are responsible for the planning of practices and games, organization and use of equipment, helping with uniform distribution and collection. High School Athletics Program Two hour practices Monday - Friday sometime between 3:30-6:30p.m. except on game days. Games are typically twice a week with varying start times between 3:30-5:00 p.m. start times. Limited weekend participation (varies by sport). High School Winter Season dates: HS Varsity Coaches begin on 10/26/26. HS Assistant Coaches and JV Coaches start on 11/2/26. Most sports start for students on 11/11/26 and go through the end of January 2027 (Season end date determined by post season play). High School Spring Season dates: HS Varsity Coaches begin on 2/8/27. HS Assistant Coaches and JV Coaches start on 2/15/27. Most sports start for students on 2/22/27 and go through the end of May 2027 (Season end date determined by post season play).
