Job Summary
We are seeking a Non Medical In Home Caregiver to join our team at Stay Home Companions.  Stay Home Companions is family owned and has been operating in the Kalamazoo and surrounding areas for 27 years. As an owner Christine is dedicated to providing the best care for our community.  She has been certified as a Dementia Certified Practitioner and has several years as a Caregiver herself.
In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, reminding of medication, and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.

 
Responsibilities 

• Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Light housekeeping activities
• Remind of medication
• Provide companionship
• Assist with errands and shopping

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
