Work Environment

This remote position allows you to work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners, all united in our commitment to improving mental health outcomes for inmates. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, mapping out personal histories and current psychosocial needs of individuals within the correctional facility.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in partnership with inmates, focusing on facilitating emotional recovery and preparing them for successful reintegration into society.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) during individual and group therapy sessions, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges.
• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards governing mental health care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to enhance care coordination and mutual learning among staff.
• Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to mental health care in correctional settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse population of incarcerated individuals who face various mental health challenges, including substance abuse disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma-related issues. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrable clinical skills and experience in providing mental health care, preferably in correctional or similar settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
