Director of Finance And Accounting

A well-capitalized, established real estate investment management firm is seeking a Director to join its Finance & Accounting organization. The firm invests across a broad range of commercial real estate strategies and works closely with institutional investors, operating partners, and internal investment professionals. This individual will be an important member of the finance team, partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional groups including Investor Relations, Acquisitions, and Asset Management. The position will have significant exposure to fund-level reporting, portfolio financial analysis, valuation, liquidity management, and investor-related initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the review and oversight of fund administration activities, including quarterly financial reporting and financial statement analysis. Support fund-level cash management and liquidity planning, including analysis surrounding capital calls and investor distributions. Maintain and enhance financial models used to evaluate individual assets, portfolios, and investment vehicles, with an emphasis on valuation and fair market value. Manage the collection, organization, and ongoing integrity of property-level financial information within the firm's investment data systems. Partner with operating and joint-venture partners to establish consistent financial reporting and data-management processes. Develop recurring and ad-hoc financial reporting for senior management and the Asset Management team. Work alongside Investor Relations to prepare responses and materials for current and prospective institutional investors. Provide financial analysis and modeling support for acquisitions, asset management initiatives, and other strategic projects. Assist with quarterly fundraising materials, investor presentations, and other management reporting as needed. Take ownership of special projects involving financial analysis, reporting, process improvement, and data management. Desired Background Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline preferred. Experience within private equity, real estate investment management, investment banking, public accounting, or a related financial environment; direct real estate investment experience is highly valued. Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with real estate valuation concepts and analytical tools such as Argus is preferred. Experience working with investment, portfolio, or financial databases is a plus. Strong understanding of real estate and investment concepts, including NOI, cash flow, IRR, present value, DCF, valuation, and capital markets. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
