Production Supervisor

Meet production demands, machine scheduling, building maintenance, training of employees, certify forklift drivers, design of new products, regulate parts inventory, aid employees in day-to-day operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan production operations. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Knowledge of high- and low-pressure plumbing. Knowledge of air filtration systems. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data. Works closely with the Engineering Department to ensure prints are correct to build. Works closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure parts arrive on time. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises Production employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Travel and Work Environment No travel for this position. Safety Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates Degree and/or combination of education and experience and or two to four years’ related experience in supervising employees. Computer Skills Microsoft Office.
