Machine Maintenance Technician

This role focuses on performing mechanical maintenance on CNC machinery and supporting building and facilities maintenance within an industrial environment. You will play a key part in ongoing machine moves through 2027, ensuring equipment is safely disconnected, relocated, reinstalled, and returned to reliable operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on CNC machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks on machines to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Support building and facilities maintenance, including general mechanical upkeep and repairs within the facility.
• Unhook and disconnect CNC machines and related equipment safely in preparation for planned machine moves.
• Rehook, reconnect, and recommission machines after relocation, verifying proper operation and addressing any issues.
• Use mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on industrial and CNC equipment using systematic diagnostic methods.
• Perform mechanical repairs on machinery components and systems as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status and issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on machinery and within the facility.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• At least 1+ year of CNC maintenance or tooling experience.
• At least 1+ year of building or facilities maintenance experience.
• At least 1+ year of experience reading and working from blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues on CNC and industrial machinery.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on machines and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar maintenance repair role.

• Experience with machine maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with CNC maintenance processes and practices.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance procedures and standards.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills across multiple types of equipment.
• Preventive maintenance planning and execution experience.
• Mechanical repair experience on complex machinery and systems.
• Maintenance repair experience involving both machines and facility infrastructure.
• Electrical knowledge or exposure to electrical systems is a plus.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You will work in an industrial facility with CNC machinery and other production equipment, performing hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance. The environment involves working around active machinery and equipment moves, requiring adherence to safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial maintenance setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Union Grove, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
