The Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) Engineering Team delivers the GNC subsystem for a program and/or constellation. This includes subsystem/system level analysis to ensure requirements compliance, sensor and actuator selection, and Flight Control Software (FCSW) development and verification. Engineers in the GNC group are integral throughout the entire program lifecycle, providing mission and system design inputs, critical analysis products, software/algorithm development, support to satellite integration and test (I&T), and on-console support for on-orbit operations. As a Lead/Senior GNC Engineer, you will be the Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) for delivery of the GNC subsystem. You may be the REA for a single program, or oversee a portfolio of programs as the GNC focal. You will be a technical leader, decomposing complex work, interfacing across engineering and manufacturing teams, reporting up the program/functional management chains, and providing guidance and mentorship to others on the team.Position Responsibilities:Deliver the GNC subsystem (hardware, software, and analysis) for a satellite programPerform GNC subsystem design, analysis, software development, and component selection to meet program requirementsManage the development of GNC products within the constraints of program cost and scheduleReport technical execution progress to program and company leadership, and track/mitigate riskInterface with other satellite subsystems as well as systems engineering and program management to ensure system-level performanceTechnical leadership of a team of GNC engineers in support of a program, including decomposition and delegation of tasksSecurity Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required post start. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations Summary Pay Range:Level 3: $123,000 - $183,000Level 4: $135,150 - $198,750Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
