Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to support an enterprise client through a staff augmentation engagement. The architect will work directly with the client’s cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT operations teams to design, evaluate, and enhance enterprise security architectures. This individual will provide technical expertise, architectural guidance, and hands-on support for cybersecurity initiatives, including vulnerability management, security platform integrations, infrastructure security, and enterprise risk reduction. The successful candidate must operate independently in a complex enterprise environment and deliver solutions aligned with client standards and business objectives.

Enterprise Security Architecture

• Design, review, and enhance enterprise cybersecurity architectures.
• Assess existing security technologies, controls, and infrastructure to identify architectural gaps.
• Develop high-level and detailed technical architecture designs.
• Recommend improvements aligned with enterprise architecture standards and Zero Trust principles.
• Participate in technical design reviews and architecture governance processes.

Vulnerability and Exposure Management

• Support enterprise vulnerability management architecture and program improvements.
• Design integrations between scanning platforms, asset intelligence, and remediation systems.
• Develop risk-based prioritization using CVSS, CVE, CISA KEV, and other vulnerability intelligence.
• Collaborate with security operations and infrastructure teams to improve remediation.
• Support zero-day response planning and technical remediation strategies.

Cybersecurity Platform Integration

• Design and support integrations across ServiceNow Security Operations, Vulnerability Response, CMDB, ITOM, Armis Centrix, Tenable, SIEM, EDR, and cloud/network security tools.
• Define integration requirements, data flows, API specifications, and dependencies.
• Troubleshoot complex platform integration and architecture issues.
• Identify opportunities for security workflow automation.

Infrastructure and Cloud Security

• Evaluate security architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Support network segmentation, identity management, access controls, and endpoint security.
• Review cloud security configurations and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to embed controls into new technology solutions.

Technical Collaboration and Documentation

• Work with client cybersecurity leadership, architects, engineers, and IT operations teams.
• Participate in technical meetings, architecture reviews, and project planning.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, technical designs, and implementation specifications.
• Guide implementation engineers and identify risks, dependencies, and constraints.
• Communicate recommendations and progress; support knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in cybersecurity, information security, or enterprise IT; 4+ years in security architecture or solution design.
• Strong enterprise security architecture, vulnerability management, cloud/network/identity/endpoint security expertise.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, REST APIs, and security technologies.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001.
• Ability to independently execute technical assignments and communicate with enterprise stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Security Operations, Vulnerability Response, CMDB, and ITOM.
• Armis Centrix; Tenable; Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Splunk, or similar tools.
• CISSP, CISM, CCSP, relevant ServiceNow or cloud security certifications.
