Rehabilitation Tech I

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department is seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Tech I to work on the inpatient rehabilitation nursing units at Willis Knighton Rehabilitation Institute. Must have experience with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and have excellent data entry skills. Must be able to manage and maintain multiple filing systems. This position requires a self-motivated person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is well organized and an eye for detail, who can assist supervisors with projects and tasks, and ordering office supplies. This individual must be able to work effectively with the Inpatient Rehab interdisciplinary team, which includes other techs, LPNs, RNs, and therapy staff. The Rehab Tech I/Unit Clerk is responsible for assisting patients with their daily life activities, daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and meals. Also, the Rehab Tech I/Unit Clerk must be physically able to assist the patient with transfers. The level of assistance required is individual to each specific patient. Applicants for this position must have self-motivation, demonstrate flexibility with work assignments, and also have excellent time management skills. The applicant must be willing to work up to a 12-hour shift when needed. Preference is given to applicants with prior experience, but prior experience is not mandatory. The candidate selected for the position will be required to attend a hospital-wide orientation upon hire.
