Job Title: Pharmaceutical Production Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Woburn, MA — On-site
Pay: $22.00/hour
Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a Pharmaceutical Production Technician to support medication packaging and barcoding operations. This role plays an important part in helping healthcare and hospital customers provide safe, high-quality medications to their patients.

The Production Technician will be responsible for repackaging medications into unit-dose formats, operating packaging equipment, preparing accurate labels, and maintaining equipment in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform unit-dose medication packaging and complete daily production orders as needed.
• Repackage oral solid medications into unit-dose formats.
• Fill medication cups, vials, and syringes according to specifications.
• Maintain adequate supplies at the workstation to support daily production.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Make routine equipment adjustments and assist with general troubleshooting.
• Generate accurate packaging labels and follow required verification procedures.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Consistently prioritize accuracy, quality, and compliance throughout the packaging process.

Training Schedule

Important: During the first 4–5 weeks , employees will train on the first shift:

6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

After successfully completing training, the schedule will transition to the regular second shift:

3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of PC/Windows computer systems.
• Previous experience with mechanical packaging equipment is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy or healthcare environment preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to perform both gross and fine motor activities required for medication packaging and labeling.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work accurately, reliably, and efficiently.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, stand, and sit throughout the workday as needed.
• Reliable attendance and a strong record of punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively in a production-oriented environment.
