Terminal manager

Rolling V Bus Corp. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Terminal Manager to oversee daily transportation operations for a school district contract. This role requires strong leadership, decision making and communication skills to effectively manager staff, ensure safety, compliance, and deliver reliable transportation services. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who fosters accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * · Provide leadership and direct supervision to dispatchers, drivers, bus attendants and terminal staff. * · Oversee daily dispatch operations, including route coverage, vehicle assignments and schedule adjustments. * · Step in as needed to dispatch, cover routes and support operational continuity * · Monitor attendance, manage absences and approve or deny time off requests * · Ensure all route are learned, maintained, and operated efficiently * · Manage route billing, mileage tracking and contractual reporting requirements. * · Ensure compliance with all company policies, school district requirements and regulatory standards. * · Partner with the Safety team on accident investigations, disciplinary actions, follow up, training, onboarding and safety and compliance. * · Review and oversee payroll accuracy for terminal staff * · Coordinate with the Shop manager to ensure timely vehicle maintenance, repairs and DOT compliance. * · Serve as a primary point of contact for school district representatives, schools and parents regarding transportation needs and concerns * · Address and resolve employee and operational issues, including grievances, with a focus on effective and timely solutions * · Conduct regular staff meetings to promote communication, engagement and team development * · Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and overall transportation operations Qualifications * Minimum of 1 year of dispatch and supervisory experience in transportation or a related field * Valid CDL or ability to obtain within one year * 19A Certification and SBDI Certification a plus * Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams * Strong problem solving and crisis management abilities * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Proficiency with computers, routing software and general technology * Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support operations Compensation and Schedule * Full time position * Salary: $67,000-$74,000 per year Benefits * Health, dental and vision insurance plans * Paid time off, sick time and company holidays * 401k retirement plan * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Opportunities for advancement within a growing organization.
