Qualifications Minimum Qualifications \"Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Veterans Home at Oxford employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18. Transfer: Current New York State employee with one or more years of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in a position eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, to a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18, and Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State. Open Competitive HELPS qualification: Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have experience with Minimum Data Set (MDS)/Medicare in a Long-Term Care setting with a Geriatric population. The preferred candidate will be flexible and demonstrate attention to detail. They will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to educate staff regarding MDS/Medicare. They will be able to work as part of a team and ne able to self-direct. The preferred candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, E-mail, etc...They will have working knowledge of the Electronic Medical Record System and the ability to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines. They will be able to develop and maintain a system to support timely completion of reports and other required documents. Additional Comments One contingent permanent, competitive full-time appointment, or non- competitive full-time appointment via HELPS. The posted salary range ($96,174 - $105,138) includes statutory hiring rate and an increased hiring salary of $9,196, plus an additional geographic pay differential of $20,000. There is also Shift Differential pay increase (Evening Shift 7%, Night Shift 10%). If applicable, the inconvenience pay program of $575 per year will be paid to employees who work four (4) hours or more between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Hours worked between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on an overtime basis are not included for Inconvenience Pay.
