What You'll Do

  • Represent Potomac and distribute all Potomac products and services within the assigned territory.
  • Travel within the territory to conduct 1:1 and group face to face meetings and presentations.
  • Partner with an internal wholesaler to develop a business plan and manage the territory to meet and exceed regional sales goals and objectives.
  • Identify advisor needs through a consultative sales process and provide tailored investment solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners (e.g., marketing, senior leaders, field leaders).
  • Manage administrative responsibilities according to company policies including travel and expenses, CRM updates, calendar and schedules, conference call participation, email retention, continuing education, and other requirements.

Who You Are

  • A driven and detail-oriented wholesaler, with a hunter mentality who has a deep understanding of the markets, products and broker dealer landscape and has a passion for sales.
  • A dependable, coachable, and team-oriented problem solver, who understands the opportunity, and is willing to work hard with a "can do" attitude willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • A strategic thinker who sees the big picture but never misses the small stuff.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have: SIE, Series 7, and either 63 & 65 or 66.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an external wholesaler selling mutual funds, SMAs ETFs or VAs, or 3 years of experience as top internal wholesaler with existing relationships in the assigned territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations.
  • Self-driven and resourceful able to manage territory budget and operate autonomously.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Objectives

  • Drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing advisors. Influence advisor choices within a consultative sales process.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments, to ensure that Potomac stays head of the curve.
  • Comply with legal and compliance regulations at all times.

Potomac is not your typical asset manager. We cut through the industry BS with brutal transparency and an obsession with execution. If you're looking for a slow pace and low volume, this isn't for you.

Base salary $100K plus monthly commission.
