Job ID: 273219 Location: Augusta University – Summerville Campus, 2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904 Job Summary Primary duties include teaching AU students on topics in Mathematics. This position is not considered a tenure‑track appointment. Responsibilities Teaching (90%): lower‑level mathematics and statistics Service (10%): participating in service activities supporting the department, college, university, and/or profession Required Qualifications MS in mathematics or a related quantitative field Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s accreditation requirements Evidence of ability as a teacher Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned Successful experience (waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements) Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Mathematics Shift / Salary / Benefits This academic‑year position typically works August through May as outlined in the offer letter and yearly contract, with a full‑time equivalent (FTE) of 1.0. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements, subject to availability of funds.
