A highly respected downtown Minneapolis law firm is seeking a Commercial Lending Associate Attorney to join its sophisticated and collaborative finance practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on complex commercial lending transactions involving financial institutions, secured lenders, and business clients across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial loan documents and transaction materials
  
  
• Advise lenders and financial institutions on commercial lending matters
  
  
• Manage lending transactions from initial structuring through closing
  
  
• Handle negotiations with opposing counsel and transaction parties
  
  
• Provide strategic legal guidance related to lending and secured transactions
  
  
• Maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders regarding deal progress
  
  
• Manage multiple transactions in a deadline-driven environment
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of commercial lending experience
  
  
• Experience representing banks, financial institutions, or secured lenders preferred
  
  
• Strong background in:
  
  
  • Commercial finance transactions
    
    
  • Real estate-secured lending
    
    
  • Asset-based lending
    
    
  • UCC secured transactions
    
    
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  
  
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word required
  
  
• Experience with document management systems such as iManage is a plus
