Store Lead

Job overview As a Store Lead, you will partner with the Store Manager to support store team members in achieving sales performance through active coaching, development of a collaborative selling environment, and operational excellence when you are the manager on duty. This position is assigned store keys to open and close the store when scheduled, in the capacity of the manager on duty. Responsibilities Inspire store team to achieve their best performance Execute to maximize growth and potential Create an engaged and inclusive store environment Elevate the customer experience through operational excellence Exceed customer expectations in all interactions Leadership Partner with the store management team to lead store staff to achieve sales, service, and operational expectations when assigned as the manager on duty Model company values and lead by example as an active coach Communicate priorities and sales-driving information to ensure staff are equipped to maximize business Assist in recruiting store staff and contribute to an inclusive store environment Performance Support the management team in achieving store business plans, including sales, customer service, and operational goals Understand how to leverage store reports to inform decisions that drive the business Participate in driving business outreach opportunities and communicate leads to the Store Manager Identify performance opportunities and collaborate on development plans Operational Excellence Collaborate with the management team to ensure proper staffing for initiatives and operational tasks to deliver the customer promise Assist with training store staff on internal operational functions Stay informed on corporate communications, directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures Support the implementation of store programs to increase efficiencies in sales, service, operations, and branding Workplace Contribute to an engaged and inclusive store environment where opinions and contributions are valued Support a culture of learning and development, ensuring training tools are leveraged Serve as a role model and provide enthusiastic motivational leadership Partner with management to conduct regular store meetings to keep team members updated with company directives Customer Experience Assist in training the store team on customer service expectations to create an exceptional customer experience and achieve a high Net Promoter Score Use customer feedback to prevent or resolve concerns Collaborate with the management team to ensure the store is visually aligned to brand standards and marketing initiatives Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of retail or sales experience Creative, good judgment, and attuned to the pulse of the business Self-motivated, results-oriented, strategic thinker Strong organizational and leadership skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Active listening and problem-solving abilities Proven ability to train and develop high-performing store teams Proficient in technology systems, applications, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing Ability to operate a computer and POS system Pay This is a union store. The base pay is $11.75/hr with a sliding scale commission from 3-7% on every item sold. Physical requirements Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift; frequently bend, squat and twist; lift up to 50 lbs; climb a ladder to reach merchandise or supplies; and discern fabric patterns and colors You may have the opportunity to voluntarily work between multiple store or site locations, and across multiple brands.
