Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of orthopedic outpatient experience to treat multiple patients simultaneously in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Productivity expectations of 60 visits in a 40-hour week
• Treats orthopedic, spinal, and post-op patients, including cervical, shoulder, spinal, hip and knee cases
• Supervises physical therapy assistants and PT technicians
• Utilizes modalities and exercise equipment available at the facility

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• IL license required if applicable, proof of license eligibility needed before start date
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
• Experience treating more than one patient at a time preferred
• Familiarity with charting systems required
• Knowledge of billing codes for various payer types

Additional Information

• Evaluates and treats patients per physician referral or direct access
• Performs Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and post-offer testing such as WorkSTEPS or APET
• Conducts ergonomic evaluations and job analyses for injured workers
• Maintains ongoing communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
• May assist with scheduling, answering phones, and taking referrals as needed
• Occasionally participates in marketing initiatives and community outreach events
• Open to first-time travelers
