Midland County is looking for a dedicated individual to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating both physical and computer files, processing and distributing fingerprint forms, computing jail credit for inmates, and providing various information to law enforcement agencies, courts, and other authorized parties. The role requires regular and timely attendance, adherence to Midland County policies and laws, and the ability to perform a range of duties as assigned by the chain of command or the Sheriff.

To qualify for this position, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification from the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS), including TCIC/NCIC Certifications and Certification on sex offender's registration policy and procedures, is also required. The individual should possess knowledge of court documents, local, state, and federal laws, TCIC/NCIC system and procedures, office policies and procedures, and standard office practices and procedures. They should be able to operate computers, organize and prioritize tasks, read and write effectively, perform basic mathematical calculations, interpret policies and procedures, analyze information, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers.

The physical demands of this role include sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; bending, kneeling, talking, and hearing. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
