Controller

Kforce's client, a growing manufacturing organization located in the Montana, is seeking a Controller to support cost accounting, financial analysis, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities. This highly visible role partners with operations and site leadership to provide financial insights that drive business performance and strategic decision-making. • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Perform manufacturing variance analysis and cost center reviews
• Maintain standard costing and inventory accounting processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Analyze inventory, overhead costs, and operational performance metrics
• Prepare financial reports and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Review purchase orders and assign general ledger coding
• Partner with Operations, Materials, and Accounts Payable teams to resolve variances and discrepancies
• Assist with fixed asset audits and inventory controls
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience required
• Strong background in standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
• Experience supporting operational leaders with financial decision-making
• SAP or similar ERP experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, and data analysis
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
