About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license in state required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Positive attitude Teamwork Problem-solving skills Advanced skills in ventilator/sedation management and medication titration Description: The ICU has a total of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Support staff is available, including technicians for the unit. The unit is equipped with GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis med dispensing systems, and Dräger vents. Documentation is done using Meditech. Staffing requires availability for every other weekend. Floating is required in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers. Patient experience requirements include AIDET, completion of communication boards, and medication teaching. The trauma certification level for the facility is Trauma III. Procedures performed include trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion. Dress code is charcoal gray scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines are provided upon request.
