Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.ResponsibilitiesDevelop geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadwaysPrepare engineering reports and contract documentsReview work performed by less experienced Engineers and provide them coaching and mentorshipServe as Engineer-of-Record on a variety of roadway projects from arterial widenings to multi-level interchanges, for a variety of clients from DOTs to Contractors to municipal agenciesCollaborate with Project Managers and Transportation Discipline LeadersPrepare marketing materials and collaborate with project teams during pursuitsProvide engineering support for projects in constructionRequired Skills & Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline10+ years of progressive experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projectsFlorida PE license or ability to obtain one within six monthsStrong background in roadway design principles, criteria, and plans production processes (preferably with FDOT)Proficiency with Open Roads DesignerAbility to manage multiple assignments in a timely fashion to meet project schedulesAbility to communicate effectively (verbal and written)Strong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry-leading professionalsJoin Dewberry and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
