The clinic sees 100+ patients a day **** Location: 5411Etiwanda Ave, Tarzana, CA 91356 Float Locations: 12660 Riverside Dr, No. Hollywood, CA 91607 5525 Etiwanda Ave, Tarzana, CA View phone number on click.appcast.io Ventura Blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356 Required Qualifications: • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI. • Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries • 1 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting **** Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture - will draw 1-5 tubes from each patient. The clinic sees 100+ patients a day **** Preferred Qualifications: • 2+ years working as a MA in (specific specialty) • Experience with CS-Link/Epic • Phlebotomy certification (highly preferred) • Understanding of medical terminology • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans • Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions Job Duties: • Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record • Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice • Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs • Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider • Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider NOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
