Learning Design: Lesson Plans + Persona-Based Paths Job Description: Microsoft 365 Copilot Trainer (AI Adoption & Enablement) Role Title: Copilot Trainer Microsoft 365 Copilot Enablement | Adoption & ROI Acceleration Role Summary (What Success Looks Like) The Copilot Trainer is a functional Copilot expert and adoption practitioner responsible for driving awareness, capability, habit formation and measurable productivity outcomes for Microsoft 365 Copilot across targeted business personas. The trainer will present, demonstrate, and deliver webinars across the full M365 Copilot experience, teach prompting best practices, run persona discovery / day‑in‑the‑life interviews, facilitate design thinking workshops, create lesson plans and hands‑on labs, run Change Corners, and execute targeted adoption campaigns to maximize usage, satisfaction, and ROI. This role also requires a strong learning agility to stay current with Microsoft s rapidly evolving Copilot feature set and incorporate new capabilities into training materials and delivery during the program. Key Responsibilities Copilot Enablement Delivery (Webinars, Demos, Hands‑on) Deliver high‑impact live training (virtual / in‑person) across Microsoft 365 Copilot experiences (Copilot in Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other supported M365 surfaces). Run role‑based webinars, feature demonstrations, guided walkthroughs, and hands‑on labs that map directly to real work tasks. Create and manage recorded training assets for asynchronous consumption (session recordings + quick reference guides). Facilitate office hours / clinics to reinforce learning, answer questions, and address user barriers (confidence, trust, relevance, and responsible use). Provide prompt coaching during labs/clinics to improve quality of outcomes and reduce trial‑and‑error fatigue. Prompt Writing & Prompt Coaching at Scale Train users on prompt fundamentals (context, goal, constraints, tone, structure, grounding, iteration). Build and maintain a persona‑based prompt library and best‑prompt patterns aligned to common workflows. Persona Creation + Day‑in‑the‑Life (DITL) Interviewing Lead persona discovery by interviewing business users and managers to understand daily activities, information flows, documents, meetings, decision points, and pain areas. Identify where Copilot can reduce cycle time, improve quality, or automate drafting/summarization. Conduct 10‑15 structured interviews across roles (or as per program plan) and synthesize insights into role‑based scenario maps. Translate insights into top‑priority use cases and training tracks focused on real‑adoption drivers. Design Thinking Workshops (Use‑Case Identification & Workflow Mapping) Plan and facilitate design thinking sessions to capture user journeys, workflow steps, moments that matter, friction points, and success criteria. Convert workshop outcomes into a prioritized use‑case backlog, role‑based enablement journeys (basic, intermediate, advanced), practical labs that replicate daily work tasks, and learning design such as lesson plans and persona‑based paths. Change Corners / Change Kiosks / Community Building Run Change Corners (open houses) to enable two‑way communication about what’s working, what’s blocked, and what users need next. Support a champion / change agent network through train‑the‑trainer enablement, reinforcement content, and recognition mechanisms. Build community engagement via the adoption hub and internal channels (Teams / Viva Engage). Adoption Campaigns & Communications (Awareness Habit) Design and execute targeted campaigns (Copilot Tips & Tricks by persona, Use‑case of the week, Prompt of the week, success stories, and leader messaging). Partner with Communications / OCM leads to maintain cadence and reduce change fatigue. Value Realization: ROI & Adoption Measurement Support Work with Program Leads to measure adoption and value: cohort ramp‑up, attendance, engagement, satisfaction, scenario usage. Collect qualitative insights + hours saved narratives by persona. Enable and interpret adoption dashboards and reinforce improvements based on trends. Drive outcomes aligned to the program’s adoption goals (e.g., scaling MAU, internal trainer certification, measurable ROI dashboards). Train‑the‑Trainer (TTT) & Capability Transfer Lead and certify internal trainers (train‑the‑trainer model), enabling transition of ownership to client teams (target 30+ certified internal trainers). Provide trainer toolkits: facilitator scripts, demo environments, lab packs, scenario library, and FAQs. Continuous Learning & Feature Velocity Readiness Maintain a structured mechanism to track Microsoft Copilot feature updates. Update training materials and labs rapidly and brief stakeholders on what’s new and how it impacts workflows. Demonstrate sharp onboarding curve and adapt content during delivery without disrupting cadence. Required Skills & Competencies Core Copilot Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience delivering enablement for Microsoft 365 Copilot across major apps and key user scenarios. Ability to translate business tasks into Copilot workflows: summarization, drafting, re‑writing, analysis, meeting intelligence, email triage, document understanding, and presentation creation. Training & Facilitation: Excellent presentation and storytelling ability; confident facilitating large webinars and interactive sessions. Adult Learning Design: Lesson planning, learning paths, hands‑on labs, assessments. Discovery & Consulting Skills: Interviewing and workshop facilitation (persona discovery, DITL, design thinking); synthesis into structured outputs (persona maps, scenario library, training backlog). Change Management & Adoption: Experience running adoption motions—champion networks, reinforcement loops, nudges, success stories, communication planning. Data‑driven Approach: Comfort with adoption metrics, survey insights and value narratives; ability to drive actions based on dashboards and feedback loops. Qualifications / Experience 5+ years in training/facilitation, digital adoption, OCM, or productivity transformation (preferred). Demonstrated experience delivering training for Microsoft 365 (Teams/Office apps) and/or AI assistants. Certifications (preferred, not mandatory) Microsoft fundamentals / Modern Work / Copilot‑related badges. Change management (Prosci/ADKAR) or Design Thinking facilitation (bonus). Success Metrics / KPIs (Examples) Enablement coverage: number of webinars, learners trained, completion rates. Adoption improvement: weekly/monthly active usage movement in target cohorts (tracked via dashboards). Capability transfer: number of internal trainers certified (e.g., 30+). Scenario adoption: number of validated persona scenarios in use. Business outcomes: documented time savings / productivity gains + executive‑ready value stories (and where available, ROI dashboards). Satisfaction: post‑session CSAT, confidence uplift, reduced “how do I start” tickets. Nice‑to‑Have (Differentiators) Experience in regulated industries (insurance/financial services) and compliance‑sensitive communication.
