We are hiring a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for an elementary school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The SLP will help students strengthen the communication skills they need to participate successfully in the classroom, build relationships, and access the curriculum.
This position involves providing evaluations and therapy, developing IEP goals, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teachers, families, and special education professionals. Both experienced school-based SLPs and qualified clinical fellows are encouraged to apply.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate students for speech, language, fluency, voice, and communication needs.
Develop measurable, student-centered IEP goals.
Provide individual, small-group, and classroom-based therapy.
Support students with articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, fluency, and other identified needs.
Participate in IEP, eligibility, evaluation, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress reports, evaluation records, and Medicaid documentation.
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support communication and curriculum access.
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers.
Coordinate services with special education teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other school professionals.
Follow district procedures and all applicable state and federal special education requirements.
Master's degree or higher in speech-language pathology or communication disorders.
Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with a School Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement, or eligibility to obtain one.
Colorado DORA-issued SLP license or qualifying compact-state license, when applicable.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
School-based practicum or experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development and evidence-based speech-language intervention.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Clinical fellows may be considered when appropriate supervision and licensing requirements can be met.
