Physician Assistant I - TV Liver Clinic- Full Time (Day - 08 hrs)

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dedicated Liver Medicine team. This role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in a collaborative, high acuity setting with a focus on hepatology. The APP will work closely with physicians, other APPs, ancillary staff, and operational leaders to provide exceptional patient care. Identify patients, obtain histories, perform physical exams, and assess findings for patients with acute and chronic complaints related to hepatology. Order and interpret diagnostic studies, secure lab and imaging results. Provide orders or furnish medications under physician supervision, following practice agreements and controlled substance requirements. Order and collect specimens for laboratory tests, screening and therapeutic procedures, including blood products. Order rehabilitative therapies, radiology examinations, and nursing services. Perform designated procedures after demonstrating competency, per written standardized procedures where applicable. Obtain informed consent as required. Initiate arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges with appropriate documentation. Assist supervising physicians in the operating room as first or second assistant, and perform surgical procedures under supervision. Recognize life‑saving situations and initiate emergency procedures. Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care, including referral and community resources. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and clinical policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Provide patient teaching and counseling. Qualifications Graduate of a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (excluding those hired prior to July 1, 2012, who are exempt from the degree requirement.) Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university. Compensation Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $89.01 – $117.94 per hour.
