2nd Shift PRN Lab Assistant - Hematology

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for second shift hematology work in Phoenix. This per diem position involves receiving and preparing clinical specimens, performing data entry, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical laboratory specimens for testing
• Perform specimen and patient information scanning and data entry tasks
• Monitor laboratory equipment functionality and conduct minor maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain test bench supplies
• Complete administrative record logs and maintain clean, safe work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and accurately identifying them
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills
• Capacity to sit and stand for extended periods in fast-paced environment
