Job Title

RN II – Surgery (Mandatory Call)

San Luis Obispo, CA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | 5x8s | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
• Coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff in the operating room
• Assure patient safety throughout all perioperative phases of care
• Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment
• Fulfill mandatory call requirements as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (A.S.) in Nursing or equivalent required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Minimum one year of full-time operating room experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Epic and Cerner EMR experience within the last 5 years; current Epic experience required
• Each work history entry must identify the charting system used, with dates provided if multiple EMR systems were used within the same role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
