Job Description
Physical Therapist (PT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team. This role is focused on providing exceptional patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation based on established physical therapy standards and physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation: Assess patients' function through formal and informal testing to evaluate skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status. (20%)
• Treatment Planning: Develop a goal-oriented treatment regime based on assessment data and patient tolerance in accordance with the prescribed plan. (20%)
• Documentation: Submit written treatment regimes as part of the treatment plan authorized by and coordinated with physicians, updating plans as necessary to reflect changes in patient status. (20%)
• Scheduling: Create a specific treatment schedule discussing frequency and duration with patients, families, or caregivers and coordinating with clinical support staff. (20%)
• Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the pathology or condition, alternative treatment options, prognosis, and the rationale for chosen interventions such as rest, exercise, or modalities. (20%)

Work Schedule

This position offers flexible scheduling options, including 5x8's or 4x10's. Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 6 PM and Friday from 7 AM to 2 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Outpatient experience is required.
• A current and active Michigan Physical Therapy license is required.
• Current certification in BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
• Work history and skills checklist pertinent to the specialty will be needed.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years are necessary.
