Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Smith Medical Clinic — Georgetown County, South Carolina Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Hybrid or Fully Remote Smith Medical Clinic is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to help meet the growing behavioral health needs of uninsured adults in Georgetown County. Our patients include individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness, as well as depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders and other behavioral health conditions. We are looking for an experienced psychiatric provider who can provide thoughtful assessment, diagnosis and ongoing psychiatric treatment, with medication management as a significant part of the role. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and establish diagnoses Develop and manage appropriate treatment plans Initiate, prescribe, adjust and monitor psychiatric medications Provide ongoing medication-management follow-up Treat and monitor patients with serious and persistent mental illness Collaborate with Smith Medical Clinic primary care providers and other members of the clinical team Coordinate referrals and additional behavioral health services when appropriate Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation We Are Willing to Build a Position That Works We know experienced psychiatric providers are in demand, and we are open to creating a workable position around the right person’s availability. Qualifications Current South Carolina APRN licensure Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification Current prescribing authority Experience evaluating, diagnosing and treating adults with psychiatric conditions Experience with serious and persistent mental illness and psychiatric medication management strongly preferred Schedule, number of hours and work arrangement are flexible and can be structured around the right candidate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
