Commercial HVAC-R Service/Install Technician

Job TitlePosition at Schwickert's Position Summary: Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC-R Service/Install Technician are individuals who are skilled and wanting to grow within their career. This position involves performing HVAC-R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC-R systems while providing insight and training to other technicians. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO A $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! Starting pay ranges from $30-$47+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesHVAC-R system troubleshooting and repair of units.Installation of commercial HVAC-R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment and start up.Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC unitsEnsure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.On Call duties as required.Additional duties as assigned.QualificationsTechnical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.3-5+ years experience preferred.Ability to learn and take direction from crew foreman.Valid Driver's License.Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.No fear of heights.Lift 50+ lbs.Sit, stand, and climb stairs.BenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceLong Term DisabilityPaid Time OffPaid Holidays401K with Company MatchTuition ReimbursementPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear.
