This position will report to the Traffic & Planning Group Manager and will lead projects in the Greater Milwaukee market. Join us to make a tangible difference in the communities we serve, while advancing your career in a supportive, hybrid work environment.Hybrid Work Environment: Tuesday - Thursday In-Office | Monday & Friday WFH ResponsibilitiesLead traffic related design and plan development (roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting)Conduct analyses using simulation and modeling softwareCreate production of plans, specifications and cost estimatesEnsure project goals are met within time and budget constraintsEstablish work plans and staffing for project phasesCoordinate activities of engineers, technicians, and production staffPrepare reports, specifications, and communicationsCollaborate with Surface Transportation Group Managers and Vice President of Surface Transportation to track prospective business opportunities and cross-sell multi-disciplined consulting services and contributing to the creation of annual business/market development plansConduct client and internal meetings, and reviews with governing agenciesSupervise design and technical developmentRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered as a Professional Engineer in the State of WisconsinMinimum of 10 years of related transportation experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplined projects; strong working knowledge of the project development process including coordination with other disciplines during design and constructionPrevious business development experience demonstrated by a track record of securing new project opportunitiesExperience in projects related to design and/or plan development for roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lightingStrong working knowledge and previous experience with CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to write descriptive and technically accurate specifications and reports; Ability to participate in or lead project team meetings and client consultationsPreferred QualificationsPTOE Certification or interest in attaining PTOE CertificationPrevious Design-Build experiencePrevious experience in developing and evaluating transportation system and corridor alternativesPrevious experience with traffic operations analysis, forecasting, and modelingWorking knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc.)Professional registration in 2 or more states$110,000 - $163,400 a yearThe listed salary range only reflects base pay for candidates with 10 - 20 years of related experience.
