Northland Health Centers

Job Description

Job Description

The Opportunity

Northland Health Centers is seeking a Risk and Compliance Coordinator to help strengthen our organization-wide compliance, risk management, patient safety, and regulatory readiness efforts. In this role, you'll help ensure we're prepared for audits, reviews, and regulatory requirements, including those related to HRSA and FTCA.

You'll work closely with teams across the organization to maintain accurate documentation, monitor progress, identify gaps, and support continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the quality, safety, and accountability of care provided throughout our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance activities.

  • Maintain compliance documentation, readiness materials, and tracking tools.

  • Support incident reporting, risk follow-up, and related documentation.

  • Monitor quality improvement initiatives and action items to ensure timely follow-through.

  • Compile dashboards, reports, and updates for leadership and the Board of Directors.

  • Collaborate with Medical, Nursing, Behavioral Health, Dental, Operations, HR, Billing, IT, and clinic leadership to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Please see the full job description for additional details about the position and its responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, health information management, business, or a related field.

  • Two to three years of healthcare experience in quality improvement, compliance, risk management, operations, auditing, regulatory requirements, or healthcare data reporting.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health center.

  • Familiarity with HRSA, FTCA, or Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting.

  • Certifications such as CPHQ, CHC, CPHRM, Lean, or similar credentials.

If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy bringing people and processes together to solve problems, we'd love to hear from you!

Your Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary of $61,000–$64,000, along with a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and life insurance.

How Your Day Flows

Your weekday schedule includes a mix of focused desk work and collaboration with colleagues across the organization. You'll begin by reviewing open audit requests, policy updates, incident follow-ups, and quality improvement action items. Throughout the day, you'll connect with department contacts, organize compliance documentation, update tracking tools, and prepare summaries for leadership.

You'll also help teams locate the appropriate standards, templates, and supporting documentation while monitoring deadlines and identifying potential barriers. Before wrapping up, you'll update progress, document outstanding items, and establish priorities for the next day.

Schedule: Monday 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Tuesday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break.

Position: Full-time, onsite position. Remote or work-from-home options are not available.
