Job Description
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to assist in the design and engineering of machinery, components, and complex assemblies. The role involves creating digital drawings and models from both written and verbal specifications, as well as performing, notating, and communicating accurate measurements. You will maintain the organization of technical documents in our digital directory and work collaboratively with our team to produce assembly instructions and operation manuals. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing processes for new and rebuilt equipment.
Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and engineering of machinery, components, and complex assemblies.
• Create digital drawings and models from written and verbal specifications.
• Perform, notate, and communicate accurate measurements.
• Maintain organization of technical documents in our digital directory.
• Work with the team to produce assembly instructions and operation manuals.
• Assist in developing processes for new and rebuilt equipment.

Essential Skills

• Proficient with SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
• Experience in AutoCAD (or similar) 2D design software.
• Mechanical experience or skill set.
• Problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and network file organization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is desired.
• Ability to easily acquire and implement new skills 'on the fly'.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Lincoln, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
